SURPRISE birthday party !!!

This is from a little while ago... I have been waiting to get my hands on the awesome group pics that I know I look soooo awesome in! but it still have not be uploaded... so I have given up on waiting... 

Dec 16th is my friend lucy's birthday, not only is it great to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday~ it's doubly great cause I finally get to see some of my favourite people in the world <3  (you know who you are... KX KC CS NW MC LZ) omg all the secret initials felt like high school yearbook all over again.

The birthday party was a surprise party organized by Lucy's bf.. (ahhhhh... that's sooooo sweet) lol... but seriously it is really sweet! and we had a great dinner at the Big Daddy restaurant in downtown Toronto. The dinner was great because of the great people and all the great discussion aka gossips... the food on the other hand was terrible... never felt more ripped off in my life... you will see later in the post.

and then the camwhoreing started.... I would just like to say that I am not the only one that cam whores... my habit is heavily influenced and encouraged!!! it's a known fact that Krystle here has celebrity quality hair, it's just beautiful and soft... and we are all very jealous of it lol >.< she is just waiting to be discovered!! and the cam whore goes on for quite a while... I think the waiters and waitress were a little afraid of us... they did not come to take our order for over half a hour... they finally approached us when we eventually settled down lol

unfortunately I did not take a very good photo of the menu, but do not worry... unless you love oysters.. you are not missing out on much..

the atmosphere is quite nice, very romantic, clean and nicely designed and furnished.

to be fair, they have amazing bread!!! it was so tasty and fluffy. I hate how some bread does not taste like anything... aka white bread.. this one had a herby taste that led me to have 4 pieces of bread ^.^ hehe

 I order a three course meal combo for $25, you get to select you choice of starter, entree and a desert from 6-8 selection from each category.

for starter, I choose gumbo, it has rice, sausage,shrimp, roux and a oyster! but honestly, have you ever ate "Uncle Ban" rice? yea, it taste it same!

for entree, I choose "catch of the day" which is cod. the fish is really nice, and flaky and chewy.... but the rice is just terrible, it's spicy beyond belief! I can take heat fairly well and it was just too much that there is no way I could finish it.. the vegetable is plain blenched vegetable with no extra seasoning. I eventually packed up half of the order to go.

we were definitely keeping with the trend, who wants birthday cakes anymore??? cup cakes is all the rage!!! I do not like sweets very much.... but I really do not know why cup cakes is making a comeback... my favourite is still strawberry shortcake!!! get the hint??? lol XD

I guess this is not the best picture, but on our way back from the restaurant, we saw a couple dancing in the TTC station, it was just wayyyy tooooo romantic!! there were a lot of stares... but I bet they were stare of jealousy
